Reflection:
By virtue of our call through baptism,we have been chosen to be a holy race, a prophet and a priest to proclaim the wonderful acts of God(1 peter 2:9). In this, we become partakers in the affairs of the kingdom of God and he entrusts to us a portion of his kingdom.
As part of our calling, we are to partake actively in the evangelizing of all nations(following the path of saint paul, my friend saint dominic, and other saints of God). We may not necessarily have to do some travelings (if we can, blessed be God). In our day to day lives, we should evangelize with our words and deeds speaking about the message of christ by the power of the holy spirit(we don’t have to be a gifted preacher to do this, our very presence should show christ in his totality), so that when people see and hear us, they see a perfect love of the one whom we speak on his behalf(the one who entrust us with his possession). This is a call for all of us not just for the clergy.
Let us therefore not waste our father’s heavenly treasures by living lives not worthy of his name, for charges would be brought to him against us. Who then can face the justice of God?, only the son of light can, he who has kept his word, in him truly love for God is perfected.
