Time would tell

Gather the Wolves to share
Straws with the Lambs
To pass the Burning Flame
That Bend their Heart
Time would tell if their
Heart is innocent again

Let the Vulture Fly along
With the Dove in the Sky
Let them Settle in the
Same abode of Life
Time would tell if their
Heart is Pure again

Let the Weed grow
With the Plant on the
Same Living Tree
Let them bear Fruits
Time would tell if
They can spring Forth again

Let the swamp flow
With the Springs of
Clear water gliding in
The Bright sunlight rays
Time would tell if
It has been cleansed again

Let the wounded and
The Faint-hearted Spark
With the same Light
Of the Most High
Time would tell
If the rays shine again

Open wide the Gate
Of God’s saving grace
For God’s Lost sheep
To Come Back to the Fold
Led by one Shepherd
Time would tell if
They have learned from him

About Michael Ogundele

A writer, ardent reader and lover of nature. fell in love with writing five years back and I've been engraved in her arms ever since. I share my little way of writing poetry and reflections based on Catholic faith and Spirituality on this space. I hope you enjoy reading as we ride the same chariot to the leafy greens. Do follow me and together, let us jump into the ocean of my ink.
