Saint Damasus I, pope

Readings for the day:

Isaiah 40:25-31
Psalm 103:1-2,3-4,8,10
Matthew 11:28-30

Reflection:

To whom will you compare me, that I should be like him? Says the holy one.-isaiah 40:25

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

The Lord invites us to himself as he has always do, calling each person by name. What do we seek in Life?, Are you exhausted from the race of life?, Are you depressed?, Do you feel like all is Lost?, Do you need someone to trust and talk to?, Do you feel hopeless? Come to the Lord. Its that simple without formulas. Come to him who never grows old or weary. His wisdom and understanding extends to the ends of the earth. What then do we think is not known to the Lord. So, Let us continually approach the Lord who is compassionate and gracious.

The Lord gives power to the exhausted and the faint-hearted. All he ask from us is to lay our head on his feet. Let us wait for the Lord at his right time, for we shall renew our strength in him and our feet shall walk and not grow weary. Wait for the Lord. Approach his holy table and receive his body and blood in the Eucharist, Jesus who will give our heart and soul true rest.

Let us not tire of approaching our Lord, for he is our sure rest.

May God help us to find rest in nothing else asides from him through christ our Lord, Amen.
