The Most Holy Name of Jesus

Friday, 3-1-2013

Readings for the day:

1John 2:29-3:6
Psalm 98:1, 3cd-4, 5-6
John 1:29-34

Reflection:

What name on earth or in the sky can man be saved except the name of Jesus. At his Name every feet shall bow and tongues confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord. For he is the Lamb of God sent from above to take away the sins of the world.

See what Love God has bestowed on us that we may be called the Children of God. What other Love can be compared to this? None! For he sent his Son to us, so that we can become adopted sons of his by his Most holy Name.

Bearing in mind that we are adopted sons courtesy of Christ, we should try to live like the one who adopts us. By learning his ways and flying his color in the way that pleases him. This purity of life show whose name we bear and the person we look up to.

May we who has been saved and adopted as Sons of the Father live up to our Calling through Christ our Lord, Amen.
