These Little ones

These little ones
They shoot from the womb
With their limbs and arms
And tiny red cheeks

These little ones
know nothing of this world
Immersed in the sea of innocence
Trusting in the hands of those
Who has been placed in their custody

These little ones
count on the Mama for juice and warmth
And the hand of the Papa
For guidance and love

These little ones
Expresses warm smiles
And rainy tears when needful
With no huge voice to picture
Its mind to reflect the images

These little ones
Simple as the young rose
And beautiful as the early sun
Has been bestowed
As a gift of love
To be totally cared for
And guided along the way
Of the divine

These little ones
Are the cheers of tomorrow
And the heart of our society
When we are gone

About Michael Ogundele

A writer, ardent reader and lover of nature. fell in love with writing five years back and I've been engraved in her arms ever since.
