After a long evening
Having some drinks
with my friends
As I head towards
My street bends
A voice caught my attention
From the dim light
Staring from a little crowd
As she sings melodically
For the delight
Of the small heads
I threw my heart
In the air
And catch it
As I grab a seat at a gentle corner
To listen to this
voice from the underworld
Her style of words
And the smoothness of the tone
Intoxicate the audience
Like the strongest wine
Ever brewed from the hands
Of men on the field
Oh! I wish you were there
The stars dropped down below
On our faces
As we all looked across
To the mermaid singing
On the waters
She completed my evening
And can’t but keep pondering
On the natural breath
Her words pour forth
And the Marvelous ways
She displays her gifts
With thoughts flooding
My mind as I walk home
I knew that I have
Found a new home
With the angelic voice
That stole my lungs
This gentle evening
And I would always
Ring their hearts
On every sunday night
