Our Lady of Lourdes

Reading of the day:

1 kings 8: 22-23, 27-30
Psalm 84: 3-5, 10, 11
Mark 7:1-13

In the first reading, Solomon was telling of the goodness of God and how there really is no one like him. Truly, we can echo with him by saying, there is really no God like him in heaven and on earth. God who in his mightiness came to live among men, coming forth from the womb of a maiden. God who chose to call all men to enjoy in his graciousness without sparing a coin. God who dwells in the tabernacle, nourishing the faithful towards the promised land.

This same God, has blessed one woman greatly in the salvation history of man and has elevated her from her lowliness to a mother, the mother of the human race.

Believe or not! This woman would be remembered for ages without end. May we as children, run to her for her aid, comfort and care and she would as a good mother always lead us to Christ, always to Christ! It doesn’t stop with her, for her soul always magnify in the Lord, and that she would lead us to, our quiet resting place in the heart of Jesus.

Our Lady of Lourdes, Pray for us!

Peace and Love of Christ.
