Readings of the day:
Numbers 21:4-9
Psalm 102:2-3, 16-21
John 8:21-30
Reflections:
Everything God does is perfect and he knows what we want, could ever want and would ever think of wanting. God can never be wrong by allowing certain things to happen to us, for in the end, everything happens for a reason–our good. We tend to complain brutally when something goes wrong with us, just like the israelites in the desert, filled with ingratitude towards God, forgetting so soon what he can do for us.
How would we feel if our child complained of lack of love towards them, rebelling in disapproval of us?
Its not an easy road, most especially in the world we live in where we can get almost everything on the go. It has lead us to be impatient in little things. This demands a firm resolution from us–a habit we need to take daily upon us.
Let nothing disturb thee; Let nothing dismay thee; All thing pass; God never changes. Patience attains All that it strives for. He who has God Finds he lacks nothing: God alone suffices–St Teresa of Avila.
May we together ask God to help us to be patient in all things, trusting in his name, we ask this through Christ our Lord amen.
peace and love of Christ.

Wonderful line. I will have to remind myself of that when I become frustrated.
