Speak to my Heart

Speak to my heart
Thou gentle damsel
Let the crumbs from thy lips
Fill my hungry deep

Tell me those hardened words
For they soften my hearty feel
Say it over timeless day
They break my minutes pray

Rub my heart slowly
With thy fingers softly
Thy ointment thou pour
Fills my belly gently

Take thy steps slowly
As thou enter deeply
Thy flowers spray
my nose drowning

Speak to my heart
Thou gentle damsel
For the food of my heart
Is thy very essence

About Michael Ogundele

A writer, ardent reader and lover of nature. fell in love with writing five years back and I've been engraved in her arms ever since. I share my little way of writing poetry and reflections based on Catholic faith and Spirituality on this space. I hope you enjoy reading as we ride the same chariot to the leafy greens. Do follow me and together, let us jump into the ocean of my ink.
