A Shrine was built

A shrine was built
Top of the sky

Worship! Worship!
Was the call on earth-man

The finest of power
Would pass more of the night

The lowliest of hands
Would portray the heart of
The sands

Listen, for angels feast
On foolish minds

They return dust for prayers
Of a proud heart

Prostrate, bend before
the crown of light

The sorrows that bled the

Lift your eyes, in reverence
And quick tears in your path

The God of love, has let
Loosed his mysterious hands
Ever seen in farthest time

About Michael Ogundele

A writer, ardent reader and lover of nature. fell in love with writing five years back and I've been engraved in her arms ever since. I share my little way of writing poetry and reflections based on Catholic faith and Spirituality on this space. I hope you enjoy reading as we ride the same chariot to the leafy greens. Do follow me and together, let us jump into the ocean of my ink.
